Star pace bowler Bhuwaneswar Kumar is one of the two players retained by the Sunrisers Hyderabad and the other player is the captain David Warner.
Bhuwaneswar is the promising pace bowler in the international cricket. He is keeping his place constant in the Indian team for a couple of years and stood as the man behind many victories of the team. He stood as the leading wicket-taker since the last two seasons of Indian Premier League.
Earlier, Bhuvi’s place used to be wavy in the international Indian team but he made his place stable with his progressive performance.
He is the sixth highest wicket-taker in the records of Sunrisers Hyderabad team. He was retained by the team for a fee of Rs.8.5 crore and the other man retained by the franchise is Captain David Warner.
In his IPL career, Bhuvi took 5 wickets in a match once and repeated 4-wicket feat twice. He bagged 111 wickets in 90 matches with an economy rate of 7.08 runs per over.
Bhuvi has put up outstanding benchmarks in a couple of years. In 2014, he took 20 wickets in 14 matches. In 2016-17, he took 23 and 26 wickets respectively.
In addition to improvement in pace, his skills were great in bowling maiden overs. Captain Warner praised Bhuvi’s performance in the previous IPL season.
Bhuvi also improved his skills and performance as a batsman over a couple of years and gave memorable hits in the international cricket and contributed a lot to the team’s victory through his bat.
This 27-year old cricketer is one of the crucial players who contributed a lot for the tournament victory of SRH in the previous season. Captain Warner expressed his trust on Bhuvi’s pace attack contributes to the team’s second triumph in securing the tournament.
