Kohli and Chris Gayle then slammed the visitors by making a score of 52/1 and kept on their attack by scoring 10 runs per over after 10 overs of the innings. Chris Gayle slammed a half-century off 40 balls by hitting 3 sixes by 15th over. Kohli scored 57 off 43 balls and reached the mark of 50 runs by 17 overs. As an answer, the visitors lost Shaun Marsh earlier and Adam Gilchrist and Azhar Mahmood worked to rebuild the innings. This duo slammed Jaydev Unadkat, Henriques, and Vinay Kumar to make a stand of 118 runs. Azhar Mahmood scored 61 runs off 41 balls before he fell to Unadkat. This pair thrashed Muralidharan by hitting 44 runs from 4 overs and cruised the team towards an incredible win.
