Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Daredevils

Out of six head to head games at Wankhede, Mumbai kept its domination by winning five matches and out of 20 face to face competitions in this decade, Mumbai won 11 games while the Delhi team won 9 games. Both the teams did not register a victory in this tournament and desperately need a win. Otherwise, reaching the play-offs becomes more difficult for both the teams.

Mumbai Indians seemed to win the previous two games but Dwayne Bravo’s startling innings and Deepak Hooda’s calm knock made their attempts futile in spite of making good scores. Experts may say Mumbai Indians make a poor start earlier but become terrific at the end. But history does not repeat itself all the time.

The Delhi DareDevils have to play their home games from 23rd April from their sixth match at Ferozshah Kotla. They were down due to hot summer in the match against KXIP and by KL Rahul’s knock and lost their second game to rain. They have the adequate number of star players suitable for this format like Glenn Maxwell, Colin Munro, Gautam Gambhir, and youngsters like Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer. But, they lack consistent bowlers this time.

The Mumbai Indians bagged purple cap aspirant Mayank Markand, who picked big guns like Dhoni, Shikhar Dhawan, Shakib Al Hasan, and Manish Pandey. He picked 7 wickets off 2 games from 5.75 runs per over. However, the Mumbai Indians seem the favorites this Saturday.

Milne replaces Cummins

Pat Cummins, who was ruled out of IPL due to injury was replaced by Kiwi speedster Adam Milne. He played for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the two seasons for IPL. He reached Mumbai on Friday and participated in the practice sessions. Hardik Pandya will be ruled out of this game due to the ankle injury. Delhi DareDevils lost two games but are not called underdogs for just two performances. They may call for Prithvi Shaw into the team to play Mumbai Indians.

Mayank Markande aims at Munro

Mayank Markande bagged wickets of a few star batsmen in the previous games. This competition may seem head to head fight between Colin Munro and Mayank Markande. Munro was at the best of his form as well.
