Mumbai Plunges Into Losing Spiral Again


Mumbai Indians lost another game in this IPL season by the terrific bowling attack by Rajasthan Royals bowler, Krishnappa Gautham, in the 21st match of IPL 2018, at Jaipur.mumbai-indians-1464975613-800Earlier, the orange cap holders Sanju Samson and Ben Stokes did a great job to make a 50-run stand for the third wicket before Jasprit Bumrah began a terrific attack. As a reply, Krishnappa Gautam made a wonder to make Rajasthan Royals win by 3-wickets. This is their third victory in six games in this season.

Rajasthan Royals began their innings to chase 168 runs. Rahul Tripathi and Rahane came to open the innings. The hitter Rahul Tripathi was promoted from lower order to the top order. But this experiment proved futile as Rahul fell to Krunal Pandya for a duck.

Ajinkya Rahane tried to stand steady at the crease but fell to a poor shot earlier. The duo of Ben Stokes and Sanju Samson made their best to add 72 runs for third wicket stand by making singles and twos throughout the spell till Bumrah broke the pair. This duo succeeded to rebuild the innings without taking the unnecessary stress.

In the 17th over, Bumrah started his fiery attack and managed to dismiss Sanju Samson for 52 runs and Jos Buttler for a duck. On the other hand, Hardik Pandya picked the wicket of Ben Stokes.

Heinrich Klassen failed to make a considerable score and in the form of K Gautham, Rajasthan Royals got a solid all-rounder. He joined Jofra Archer who made a decent show in his debut game by picking 3 wickets on conceding 23 runs to keep the flow of runs going on at a crucial position from 110-2 to 125-6.

Earlier, in the beginning, the predicted score of Mumbai was 200-220 runs. Ishan Kishan and Surya Kumar Yadav made the stand of 129 runs to make the team reach a whopping score. Jofra Archer, Dhawal Kulkarni, and Jayadev Unadkat made a decent show with the ball to restrict the score of the opponents.
