Bhuvneshwar Kumar was one of the crucial players for Sunrisers Hyderabad. He will miss out the game against Mumbai Indians due to a back injury. The injury woes of the team seem to rise as Shikhar Dhawan was down due to the elbow injury in the match against KXIP and missed the game against CSK. On the other hand, Yusuf Pathan faced cramps in the previous game.
The Sunrisers lost two consecutive games earlier out of five games and stood fourth in the points table with six points. The game against Mumbai Indians is a crucial one for the team to make a decent position in the points table.
Speaking about the injury woes of the team and poor performance of spinner Rashid Khan to specified reporters, the skipper Kane Williamson said that “Rashid is a world class bowler. T20 cricket does not make exemptions for any bowler to escape pressure. Any bowler can be hit, so that’s the nature of the game and I suppose he has learned a huge amount in such a short period of time.
“Last couple of games, it is been a couple of special knocks, (from) people, who have played Rashid nicely but he is a world-class bowler and will bounce back well. You need to embrace those challenges and I know he will,”
“I am not 100 percent sure on how Yusuf is. I know he did have some cramps but hopefully he will be ok and come tomorrow night,” he added.
Yusuf Pathan is expected to return to the team for the game against Mumbai Indians.
”Bhuvi did not travel with the team and is not playing the next match. Shikhar we are hoping will be fine for tomorrow,” Williamson concluded.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar is suffering a sore back and is advised to take rest from the game. He is expected to get back into the team for the game against KXIP to be played on 26th April at Hyderabad.
