IPL 2018-Players CSK Might Try To Bag During Rumored Mid-season Transfer Window

Chennai Super Kings made a bounce back after two year ban period in the IPL 2018. But the team has to concentrate on some shortcomings to make their position better from the injury woes. Though Dhoni and Suresh Raina did well so far, their injuries are a point of worry. Mitchell Santner and Kedar Jadhav suffered injuries and missed out the tournament as well. Let us have a look at some potential players to fill in the vacuum of the teams during the mid-season transfers from 28th to 42nd matches of IPL 2018.IPL 2018-New Players To Watch Out For

  1. Basil Thampi

He is a good domestic cricketer and can stand as a good death-over bowler as CSK needs one badly. They missed out Mitchell Santner due to injury woes and struggling due to lack of a good bowler in the death overs. He is picked by the Hyderabad franchise but did not play for the team to date. He will be an ideal choice for CSK if they are looking for a bowler who can work well with the new ball and can bowl well in the death overs. He did not do his debut in the IPL as players like Bhuvi, T.Natarajan, and Siddharth Kaul are included in the team.

  1. Heinrich Klassen

Heinrich Klassen was called into the Rajasthan Royals to replace banned cricketer Steven Smith. He is the hero of pink ODI against India. He did not do well in the single game he played against CSK and can be utilized better by the franchise in the near future. He did not play for Rajasthan Royals as the skipper Rahane was interested to choose D’Arcy Short instead of him. If he plays for CSK, the team will be formidable as the team is suffering injury woes and the poor form of all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja.

  1. Colin Munro

He is a good hitter in the shortest form of cricket. He can be a good option as an opener for CSK along with Ambati Rayudu. On the other hand, Rayudu seems comfortable playing in the middle-order rather than in the opening position. He played only one game for Delhi DareDevils and was replaced by Jason Roy. He will be a good choice if the team needs a pinch-hitter.

  1. David Miller

He was picked by the Kings XI Punjab through the right to match card. He played for the franchise for years. He did not play for the team this year as he was replaced by Chris Gayle. If Punjab lets him go, he will be a good hand to Dhoni as a match-finisher. Punjab is accomplished with a number of arrogant hitters this year.

  1. Jofra Archer

He played only one game for Rajasthan Royals. He made an impressive performance by picking 3 wickets against Mumbai Indians in his debut game.  As he joined the Rajasthan Royals injured, he was not given sufficient importance in the team. He will be a solution for the lack of death over bowlers for CSK if he will be called into the team.
