IPL media made an announcement regarding this issue that read “Both Mr. Mavi and Mr. Khan admitted to the Level 1 offense under 2.1.7 of the IPL Code of Conduct for Players and Team Officials and accepted the sanctions.”

The Delhi DareDevils registered a memorable victory against Kolkata Knight Riders by 55 runs under the leadership of Shreyas Iyer who scored an unbeaten 93 runs in the game off 40 balls. Gautam Gambhir stepped down from the captaincy of the team. Shreyas Iyer was named the man of the match for his first game as the skipper. He contributed a majority of the whopping score of 219 runs for the loss of 4 wickets.

In the first over after the Powerplay, Shivam Mavi managed to dismiss the Delhi opener Colin Munro who made a contribution of 33 runs to the team’s score of 57-0 by then. Mavi dismissed this opener by just giving away 2 runs. He was seen sending off the batsman with a few words.

In the KKR’S innings, Andre Russell was sweating hard to rebuild the innings but in vain due to lack of a good hand. By the time, Avesh Khan came to bowl the 18th over. He managed to dismiss Russell off-stump.  He reportedly made some abuses against Russell.

They committed to a breach of conduct that does not make any bans, suspensions or penalties.

The IPL promised to prevent such incidents in the near future.

The KKR will battle Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi DareDevils will face Chennai Super Kings in their next games.

The ICC earlier announced stricter punishments for the breach of conduct issues. But youngsters can’t be restricted by these mere announcements.
