In the last match against Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings pacer Deepak Chahar ended up with a hamstring injury. According to the team head coach Stephen Fleming, Chahar will be missing on two weeks of action because of the injury.
Against Mumbai, while bowling his third over, the 24-year old pacer pulled his hamstring that led to his dismissal from the game. He was taken off field immediately and he did not return for the rest of the game. Chennai lost the 27th match of IPL 2018 against Mumbai, which is its second defeat in the tournament so far.
Fleming taking to the press after the game said, “He has had hamstring injuries in the past, he has a pretty good idea when he is in trouble so it’s probably a couple of weeks which is a bit of a blow.”
Chahar who is one of the star bowlers for CSK has played all the 7 games from the team so far, picking up six wickets at an average of 23.17.
Today, Chennai is scheduled to take on the Delhi DareDevils, a team which had a fairytale comeback in the last game against Kolkata Knight Riders.
