The IPL 2018 playoffs are scheduled to be played at two venues, Eden Gardens, Kolkata, and Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.The league schedule of IPL 2018 came to an end with the game against Chennai Super Kings and Kings XI Punjab. The eliminator and qualifiers were scheduled to be played from 22nd May 2018 to 25th May 2018 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, and Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. The Chennai Super Kings won the game against Kings Xi Punjab in the last league match at their adopted home ground, Pune.
The league matches of 11th edition of IPL 2018 were commenced from 7th April with the game against the defending champions, Mumbai Indians, and Chennai Super Kings. An exciting thing here is, the league stage started with the game played by Chennai Super Kings and similarly, the playoffs will commence with the game between Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

The surprising thing here is, Sunrisers Hyderabad, who came into competition with a negative impact of David Warner’s issue became the first team to qualify for the playoffs and the Rajasthan Royals who were in a do or die situation due to back to back losses in their initial stage made their way for playoffs in an exciting game against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Though the Mumbai Indians had a good run rate throughout this season but had to face elimination due to the loss against Delhi Daredevils in their last league match yesterday.
