- Ross Taylor
He is one of the greatest openers of the limited overs cricket. This 34-year old kiwi batsman played 245 T20s and scored 5206 runs at the strike rate of 133.48 at an average of 31. He scored 1000 runs from around 55 IPL games. He is well acquainted with Indian pitches and his average is 88 from last 11 ODIs. His highest score from recent ODIs is 181 and he did well in the team’s tour to India last October.
- Luke Ronchi
This batsman is one of the underrated players in the World class cricket. This 37-year old player had an average of 25 at the strike rate of 157 out of 161 T20s. He played for international teams of Australia and New Zealand. He was the highest scorer for Pakistan Super League with 435 runs off 11 games at an average of 43.50 and strike rate of 182 with more than five half-centuries. He played only five IPL games earlier. He is a good opener and a middle-order batsman as well.
- Shaun Marsh
This Australian batsman was one of the versatile overseas batsmen in the IPL. With an average of 40 and a strike rate of 133, he played 71 IPL games and scored 2477 runs. He played for KXIP earlier and was the orange cap holder for the year 2008. This 34-year old batsman would be an addition of experience and calmness to the Delhi Daredevils filled with youngsters like Prithvi Shaw, Rishabh Pant, and Shreyas Iyer.
