Delhi Capitals (DC) posted a total of 157/8 in 20 overs, following a fine half-century by Marcus Stoinis who smacked the ball to all corners of the ground. Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) seemed to be on top after taking three early wickets, and then again after breaking a fine 50-run partnership between Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant. However, Stoinis made his presence felt to ensure a defendable total for the bowlers. KXIP pacer Mohammed Shami was the star for KXIP, accounting for three wickets. DC were sent in to bat by Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) skipper KL Rahul who has won the toss and opted to field at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in match two of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020. Delhi Capitals managed to qualify for the play-offs last year while Kings XI Punjab finished sixth on the points table in 2019.
