ICC Announces Schedule For Women’s World T20 2018

ICC announced the Women’s world T20 2018 schedule. The tournament will be held from November 9 to November 24 in West Indies. India will take on New Zealand at Guyana stadium in the inaugural match. The tournament will be conducted between ten teams.ICC-womens-world-twenty20-championship

All the matches in the tournament will be broadcasted live. The DRS is introduced for the first time in this tournament. The teams will be divided into two groups. Group A consists of Sri Lanka, England, South Africa, and West Indies and Group B include India, New Zealand, Pakistan, and Australia.

The other two teams will be the finalists of ICC T20 World cup qualifier that begins on July 7th at the Netherlands.  The teams that compete for World cup qualifier are Bangladesh, Ireland, Papua New Guinea, the Netherlands, Scotland, Thailand, Uganda, and UAE.

Some of the group games will be staged at Darren Sammy Cricket ground at St. Lucia.  Both semi-finals will be played on November 22 and November 24 at Sir Viv Richards cricket stadium at Antigua.

The DRS will be considered for making the decision in this tournament for the first time when ICC T20 tournaments are taken into consideration.
