India won the T20I series against Ireland with power packed performance by leading with 2-0. It seems that KL Rahul is solid enough to continue his fiery performance with excellent form same as he did in the IPL. The experts are surprised about the decision of the BCCI why this consistent player not included in the regular playing XI.
Rahul scored 70 runs and 48 runs out of them are boundaries with three fours and six sixes. His perfect arcs for spin deliveries were beautiful to look at. Even the glorious player, Suresh Raina seemed to underplay when compared to Rahul’s performance yesterday. Rahul came up with splendid performance after a short gap for the International cricket.
Ireland won the toss and decided to field first. They seemed to trouble KL Rahul and Virat Kohli in the first over but Rahul dominated Kohli with his performance yesterday. He slammed Peter Chase with two sixes in his very first over of the spell. Rahul and Kohli managed to make a good partnership and by 10 overs, India reached the score of 100 runs. Rahul also received a good hand from Suresh Raina.
Suresh Raina slammed Stuart Thomson with two sixes and he did well to support KL Rahul. Kevin O Brien managed to pick the wickets of Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina. Raina slammed his fifth T20I fifty. The golden boy of Ireland, O Brien, picked 3 wickets from his first three overs by conceding 19 runs.
In the end, adding to the stand of 100 runs made by KL Rahul and Suresh Raina, Hardik Pandya added 32 runs from 9 balls to make India post the score of 214 runs off 20 overs. Hardik Pandya slammed two sixes and a boundary in this match.
One cannot say that the Irish batsmen did the worst performance but their Innings was done by 75 balls. They lost Paul Stirling to Umesh Yadav in the very first over. Siddharth Kaul picked his maiden T20I wicket in the 4th over. He managed to dismiss James Shannon.
The spin twins Yuzwendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav managed to pick six wickets off the last seven wickets. Their combined stats were 6/37 in this game. Ireland was saved from registering the lowest score in T20Is as they were bowled out for 70 runs and India recorded their highest T20I victory.
