He played his last game against New Zealand before serving a ban period after a security spat at a Night Club in September last year. This all-rounder slammed 141 runs and picked five wickets in that game. The ODI series against India is about to begin on 12th July 2018. He will attend a practice session before the test match against India as well. The first test match will be held on August 1.

Sam Billings lost the opportunity to play in the ODIs to accommodate Ben Stokes. He was included in the team for series against Australia in the absence of Ben Stokes. He carried drinks for his teammates nearly for a period of a year in his international career. He slammed 11 runs and 12 runs in the T20 blast but could not make his mark to cement his position in the team of England. He served as the skipper for Kent team earlier in the County cricket.

Sam Curran, who was included in the team for series against Australia to substitute Tom Curran and Jake Ball, played his first ever ODI in the fifth one against Australia. He finished the series with 2/44 and scored 15 runs. The team is in high spirits with whitewash win against Australia in five ODI series with 5-0 and eyed to top the ICC ratings by beating India. Even if they lose the series, still they stay on the top position in the ICC ODI rankings.
