Kuldeep Yadav Eager To get A Test Spot

Kuldeep Yadav registered two exciting records within the period of a week. He stood as the first left-arm spinner to take 6 wickets in ODIs and he recorded the fourth best performance by an Indian bowler. He took 5/24 at Trent Bridge earlier.kuldeep-yadav-hattrick

This year, the summer in England seems hotter and hence the grounds are more favorable for the batsman. But this wrist-spinner managed to pick wickets despite flatter grounds. By his 6-wicket haul, he is about to compete for test team with Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja.

England was in great form with a 5-0 victory against Australia in the ODI series which included their highest total of 481/6 in a single ODI. England lost their first T20I to India by the 5-wicket haul of Kuldeep earlier. They took the support of the bowling machine Merlyn but they could not continue the momentum they gained by the knock of Alex Hales in the second T20I and lost their T20I series to India.

Kuldeep seemed optimistic to attain a berth in the test team. Speaking to the press, he said: “Talking about Test cricket, I am hoping for the call and let’s see what happens in a couple days when they announce the Test team.”

“It doesn’t matter to me because I never bowl looking at who the batsman is,”

”In my mind, I am only thinking about how I can contribute to the team.”

Speaking about Merlyn, he said ”With a bowling machine, you cannot see the hand or wrist or arm during delivery and the ball only turns,”

So if you are not picking the ball then there is a huge problem.”

Eoin Morgan was all in praise of Kuldeep Yadav. After their defeat against India, he said

“He is very good and there is no getting around that. He exposes an area of our game we need to improve on, that is a healthy thing. It’s a chance to improve in this area, however long it takes, between now and the World Cup.”

He said that Kuldeep made a great performance that may not be carried out by players like Tabraiz Shamsi and Lakshan Sandakan, who are playing a test match at Galle, Sri Lanka.
