India won the T20I series against England and is playing with them in the ODI series. They will play the test series from 1st August. India is about to play the last ODI against England. England is setting ahead to avenge their defeat in the T20 series and their defeat by 4-0 in the subcontinent tour.
In the absence of Jasprit Bumrah, the team needs a consistent bowler and some skilled batsmen. Bumrah is expected to play in the test team but in his absence, the team may welcome some surprise players. Let us have a glance at them.

He played a crucial role in the U19 world cup and in Ranji trophy 2017, he scored 1000 runs in a duration of 23 days. He slammed 304 runs in single innings and scored five centuries in that period. He scored three centuries in the tri-series against West Indies A and England Lions to guide India towards victory in the series. With his outstanding performance in the domestic cricket, he is awaiting the national call-up for the test series against England.
- Deepak Chahar
He did a great job for Chennai Super Kings and made his T20I debut against England. He stands by Navdeep Saini, Rajneesh Gurubani, and Avesh Khan who made impressive performances in the domestic cricket. He did a splendid performance for India A by picking 5 wickets in the game against West Indies A. In the absence of Jasprit Bumrah, he has plenty of chances to play the test series against England since India badly needs a consistent speedster.
- Prithvi Shaw
He is the captain for the U19 team of India which clinched the World cup earlier this year. He represented Delhi Daredevils in IPL this year. At 14, he slammed 546 runs off 330 balls in Harris Shield game. He stood as the youngest player to score a century in the Duleep trophy in September 2017. For India A, he scored 188 runs in single innings recently. He is expecting the national call-up in the test series against England.
