Rashid Khan Joins Maratha Arabians To Show His Spin Magic

Rashid Khan is about to represent Maratha Arabians in the UAE T10 league. This Afghan star bowler is about to play along with some more world-class players in this league. He is newly picked by the franchise along with James Faulkner, a well-known Australian all-rounder. This is the second season of the tournament and will be staged at Dubai.rashid-khan

Other teammates of this 19-year-old leg-spinner are Alex Hales, the English star batsman, Dwayne Bravo, the Caribbean all-rounder, and the Pakistani wicket-keeper, Kamran Akmal. Alex Hales and Dwayne Bravo played for Maratha Arabians in the previous season.

The franchise was under the ownership of Sohail Khan, a famous Bollywood actor and filmmaker, Ali Tumbi of Aqua properties, and Parvez Khan of Pacific Ventures. Wasim Akram is the head coach for the team. The affairs of this franchise will be taken care of by Dubai-based Petromann Events. The same firm managed these affairs in the previous edition.

The tournament will be conducted by Emirates Cricket Board by the approval of International Cricket Council. Rashid Khan felt excited about his inclusion into the prestigious franchise. He said “I am extremely excited to be playing for Maratha Arabians in the second season of the T10 League.  After having played Twenty20 cricket all over the world, I was looking forward to a challenge. Playing the T10 format is the perfect step up for me. I am looking forward to playing the world’s shortest format alongside some iconic players.”

The co-owner of the franchise, Pervez Khan said that “I am extremely excited to be playing for Maratha Arabians in the second season of the T10 League.  After having played Twenty20 cricket all over the world, I was looking forward to a challenge. Sohail Khan, another co-owner said that “The new season promises a lot for us. We are taking a fresh guard and have gone about picking the squad after a lot of deliberations. We are extremely thrilled to bring on board Rashid and James Faulkner.”

Another co-owner of Maratha Arabians, Ali Tumbi said that “Maratha Arabians is an excellent marriage of two different regions and cultures. The franchise represents the warriors of two historic regions and will fight for every inch on the cricket field during the tournament.”
