  1. Mashrafe Mortaza (Bangladesh)

Mashrafe Mortaza, fondly called as Narail express, is one of the greatest pacers for Bangladesh. He has been captained the team and took 245 wickets in his ODI career and if he takes 5 more wickets he will become the first Bangladeshi player to reach that landmark. He is facing injury woes and may end his career before the world cup 2019. He crossed 34 years of age and playing the next Asia cup for him is a doubtful thing indeed.

  1. Lasith Malinga

Lasith Malinga is undoubtedly the best pacers in the Sri Lankan history. He picked 301 wickets in his ODI career and might not play the next Asia Cup 2020 since he is at the dead end of his ODI career. He is one of the best fast bowlers in the limited overs format and might quit his cricket career after 2019 World Cup due to persistent injury woes. He is the fourth highest wicket-taker for Sri Lanka.

  1. Shoaib Malik

He is one of the best all-rounders in the limited overs format. He had 150 ODI wickets under his belt and amassed 7015 runs, standing as the eighth highest scorer for Pakistan. In addition, he is one of the crucial hitters for the team. He announced retirement for his cricket career after World cup 2019 and this will be his last Asia Cup.

  1. Dinesh Karthik

He is one of the outstanding batsmen for India besides being a wicket-keeper. He is one of the crucial match finishers for the team and has the eligibility to don the gloves if MS Dhoni retires. But lack of consistency is his  Achille’s heel. He did a great job behind the stumps in the limited number of games he played and might not get a chance after World cup 2019. Hence, this will become his last Asia Cup.

  1. MS Dhoni

He is one of the legendary cricketers India ever produced. He already crossed 36 years of age and has the maturity to walk away when his time comes. But for now, he is the crucial keeper-batsman for the team though he was struggling to make big scores in the recent past. His selection into the team for Asia cup frowned many experts but his exceptional cricket career made them keep silent for now. He might announce his retirement after World Cup 2019 due to continuous fitness issues and this might be his last Asia Cup.
