Strengths:

Bowling is always the strength for Pakistan team and uncapped teenager Shaheen Afridi is a ray of hope for the team. In addition, spinners Shahdab Khan and Mohammed Nawab are popular for their consistency and pacers like Mohammed Amir and Junaid Khan will make a perfect bowling unit.

Weaknesses:

Batting is always an Achille’s heel for Pakistan. Though they have the fiery openers like Fakhar Zaman and all-rounder Shoaib Malik, Pakistan always faced the last-minute collapse due to inconsistency in fixtures like New Zealand series though they slammed Zimbabwe by 5-0 earlier. However, they did not register a single win against New Zealand with scores like 166/6, 74, 246/9, 262/8 and 246.

X-factor

Fakhar Zaman is called as the man with X-factor along with young spinner Shahdab Khan. His leg spin has a magic and his economy rate is around 4.72. Fakhar Zaman slammed 515 runs from a series to lead the team towards a series win. This 28-year old player is one of the eminent openers for the team. He slammed a match-winning century against India to hand the team the ICC Champions trophy 2017.

Probable XI

Sarfaraz Ahmed, Fakhar Zaman, Shoaib Malik, Shadab Khan, Zunaid Khan, Babar Azam, Imam Ul Haq, Faheem Ashraf, Mohammed Amir, and Hasan Ali.

The Pakistanis lost 6 games and won 5 games against India in the Asia Cup out of 12 games. They are aware of the bowling attack in the UAE and play all their home games in UAE and hence they have more advantages against India this Asia cup.
