Mustafizur Rahman and Mushfiqur Rahim guided Bangladesh to the finale in Asia Cup 2018. They need to face India in the finale on 28th September 2018. Rahim slammed 99 runs to hand Bangladesh a decent score of 239 runs. The bowlers made a consistent performance to beat Pakistan and guide the team towards final of the Asia Cup.Asia Cup 2018-Bangladesh Thwart Pakistan To Reach FinaleMushfiqur Rahim picked 4/43 to beat Pakistan by 37 runs. The efforts of Imam-Ul-Haq who scored 83 runs went useless to guide Pakistan towards the most anticipated win. The Bangladeshi bowlers managed to end the Pakistan innings by 202/9.

Bangladesh was in a tough situation when their innings were in trouble by 12/3. The coincidence here is, India and Bangladesh played the Asia Cup final in 2016. Bangladesh went bowling without Shakib al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal. The innings played by Mustafizur who smashed 99 runs stood as the backbone for the Bangladesh team.

As Pakistan troubled Bangladesh with the ball in the first half, the latter repeated the same to the opponents. Mushfiqur and Mehidy Hasan restricted Pakistan to a great extent. Pakistan fell into trouble with 18/3. Fakhar Zaman, Babar Ahmed, and the captain Sarfaraz went to the pavilion at the poor scores.

Shoaib Malik and Imam Ul Haq scored 67 runs for the 4th wicket. The Bangladeshi captain succeeded to send Shoaib Malik back with a fabulous catch and threw the opponents into defense. Asif Ali and Imam tried to make a good stand and later Shadab Khan was dismissed at the score of 4 runs off 24 balls.  The tail-enders made a partnership of 71 runs and finally, their innings ended at 202 runs giving up to Bangladesh.

In the Bangladesh innings, the overs 5 to 34 were very hard to them but  Mushfiqur and Mithun slammed half-centuries to guide Bangladesh to a stable position. Mominul and Liton Das were out at the poor scores. However, Pakistan restricted Bangladesh at 16 runs in the last four overs but their efforts went futile.

Brief scores
