Sunil Ambris scored an arrogant hundred and the warm-up match ended in a tie yesterday. The series against West Indies will be commenced soon and hence the selectors announced the final squad for test series yesterday. The warm-up match between Board President XI and West Indies took place for two days at Vadodara.
The West Indians scored 360 for six after the opponents declared the innings at 360/6. As an answer, Kraigg Braithwaite and Kieran Powell scored 105 runs for the 4th wicket stand by smashing 52 and 44 runs respectively.
Ambris scored a hundred from 98 balls with 17 boundaries and five sixes. By his knocks, he strengthened the opportunity of receiving a call-up for test squad for the series to be commenced on 4th October 2018. As an answer for the BPXI’s 360 runs, Kraigg Braithwaite and Kieran Powell made a good stand to strengthen the position of the visitors. They slammed 52 and 44 runs respectively to amass a stand of 105 runs.
Shai Hope from West Indies added 36 runs and Ambris scored a hundred from 98 balls to make the result of the game a tie. From the BPXI’s side, budding pacer Avesh Khan picked 4 scalps by conceding 60 runs and left-arm spinner Saurabh Kumar finished his spell with the figures of 2/126. In the two days warm-up match against West Indies, the BPXI bowlers performed more than impressive.
Sunil Ambris scored 114 runs as an answer and Darwich scored 65 runs. Ambris worked hard since July to make a comeback into the West Indies team and kept his hopes alive by his impressive ton in this warm-up game.
