India will face Australia in the four test-match series to be commenced on 6th December 2018 at Adelaide. India won 26 games, and Australia won 41 games out of 94 test matches, and 27 were drawn. The four test matches will be played at Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne, and Sydney. Most of the experts said that Kohli won half the battle since the T20I was drawn but history is not on India’s side. Here is the preview of both sides for the first test.
Coming to the host’s side, Usman Khwaja and Aaron Finch stood as the highest run-getters in the UAE test series with 221 runs and 181 respectively and they are striving hard to repeat the same magic against India. Shaun Marsh is the crucial member of the team with highest runs in the Ashes series. He is looking to stand as a solid batsman being the senior member of the team.
Though the batting line-up seems weak, the bowlers like Nathan Lyon, Josh Hazelwood, and Pat Cummins have the capability to trouble the Indian batsmen with all their might along with Mitchell Starc.

Coming to the Indian side, they faced a huge blow in the form of injury to the young opener Prithvi Shaw but Lokesh Rahul, Pujara, and Virat Kohli seem in good form by their performances in the practice match. Virat Kohli is ready to repeat the magic of Border-Gavaskar tournament in 2014-15. Lokesh Rahul and Rohit Sharma might open the game and Rishabh Pant, who slammed decent hundreds against England and West Indies is expected to give a good stand for the batting line up. He has a decent number of the fifties from all the test matches he played.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohammed Shami will shoulder the pace bowling department. Though they have a few lightning performances in the test format, they can be entrusted for the task keeping their experience in mind. Ravichandran Ashwin and Kuldeep Yadav will be crucial spinners for the team owing to their previous performances in overseas stages.
