IPL 2019 auctions will take place on December 18th, 2018 at Jaipur. The auctions are meant to bag 1033 Indian players and 232 overseas players by 8 franchises. There are 800 uncapped players and 746 of them are Indian players. 70 slots are available from 8 franchises. 50 of them are for Indian players and 20 of them are for overseas players. South African players top the list of overseas players with the highest number, 59 players.
The Australian players Aaron Finch and Glenn Maxwell are out of this tournament due to a tight schedule of the world cup and the Ashes tournament. Corey Anderson, Chris Woakes, Sam Curran, Colin Ingram, Lasith Malinga, Angelo Mathews, Brendon Mc Cullum, D’Arcy Short, and Shaun Marsh are overseas players available at the highest base price of Rs.2 crore.

- Jayadev Unadkat
He is the costliest player in the IPL 2018 with a remuneration above Rs.12 crore. He was released by the franchise this year and his base price is Rs.1.5 crore for this season. He picked just 11 wickets from 15 matches at an economy rate of 9.65 in IPL 2018. He represented Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rising Pune Supergiants, and Rajasthan Royals. He is the crucial player for Pune team in IPL 2017 and picked 24 wickets. The Pune Supergiants stood as the runners-up against Mumbai Indians by losing the game by 1 run.
- Axar Patel
He is a versatile spinner in the IPL and can do well with the bat in the lower order. He was the first player retained by KXIP in IPL 2018 for a whopping sum of Rs.12.5 crore but his salary in that season was Rs.6.75 crore. He scored just 80 runs and picked three wickets from 9 games in that season. He was released by the franchise for this season and his base price for the current season was Rs.1 crore. He scored 1675 runs and picked 61 wickets from 68 IPL matches.
- Yuvraj Singh
He is one of the costliest players in IPL 2014-15. He represented five franchises in IPL since the inaugural season in 2008. He played for Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kings XI Punjab, Pune Warriors, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Delhi Daredevils. He is the costliest Indian player with the base price of Rs.2 crore in the previous edition. He was released by the franchise due to poor performance in IPL 2018 as he scored just 65 runs from 8 games. He was the great performer for Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2016 which clinched the title. His base price in this season is Rs.1 crore.
- Mohammed Shami
His IPL career was not as successful as his test career. He played for two franchises in his IPL career, for Kolkata Knight Riders in 2012 and 2013 and Delhi Daredevils from 2014 to 2018. His bond with the Delhi franchise came to an end this year as he was released by the franchise. He picked just 21 wickets from 43 IPL matches. Since Mumbai Indians need an experienced Indian pacer, he might be bagged by the franchise at a base price of Rs.1 crore.
