Grace Harris beat the record for women’s BBL fastest century. The record was in the name of Ashleigh Gardner who slammed the fastest century by 47 balls. She stood as the fastest woman to slam hundred by facing just 42 balls. She played for Brisbane Heat as an opener and the West Indies player Deandra Dottin slammed fastest hundred in women’s international cricket off 38 balls.
Deandra Dottin slammed hundred off 38 balls against South Africa in 2010. Grace Harris’s hundred made Brisbane Heat beat Melbourne Stars by 10 wickets. They needed just one run to win when Harris was on 95. Grace Harris slammed 13 fours and five sixes to guide the team towards a historic win.
She missed many swings and finally slammed a six to reach the score of unbeaten 101 runs. The previous fastest hundred was thrashed by Ashleigh Gardner last year.
In that game, Melbourne Stars batted first and the home team, Brisbane Heat restricted them to 132/7 in 20 overs in the first innings at Gabba Stadium. The pair of Grace Harris and Beth Mooney opened the account for Brisbane Heat in a chase for 133 runs. Grace guided her team to victory in just 10.5 overs without losing a wicket.
She slammed her first fifty off 23 balls and later she slammed her hundred off 19 balls.
