Indians got decent places in the ICC T20I rankings even after losing the series against New Zealand. Indians faced a huge defeat by 0-3 recently in the series against New Zealand but the duo of Jemima Rodrigues and Smriti Mandhana crept into the top 10 in the ICC rankings for T20Is. Jemima climbed to the second position and Smriti achieved the sixth position after the New Zealand series was concluded.
Jemima Rodrigues amassed 132 runs from the series to sit at the second place and Smriti slammed 180 runs to settle at sixth position after climbing four places. Smriti Mandhana secured the first position in the ICC ODI rankings for women a week ago.
Smriti Mandhana is the vice-captain for the Indian T20I team and added two half-centuries against New Zealand in the three T20I series in which India lost by 0-3.
Coming to the bowlers, spin duo of Radha Yadav and Deepti Sharma secured 10th and 14th ranks in the recent rankings. Radha Yadav crept 18 places to secure 10th position in the ICC T20I rankings and Deepti Sharma climbed five places to secure 14th position.
Considering the ratings for all-rounders, Deandra Dottin occupied the first position in the recent rankings.
