Andre Russell was one of the crucial players for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL. He made his debut for Delhi Daredevils in IPL 2012 but due to poor performance, he entered KKR franchise in 2014. To repair the situation, Yusuf Pathan joined Andre Russell and Russell slammed 4 boundaries and one six to hand Kolkata Knight Riders a win by 5 wickets.

He came to bat when the team was in tough phase with 89/5 and surprised the audience with 1 four and 11 sixes and slammed Dwayne Bravo, one of the crucial death over bowlers for Chennai with 50 runs from 3 overs.
