  1. Manish Pandey

He is one of the consistent batsmen for team India and he gained prominence in IPL after his century in IPL 2009 at the age of 18. This Karnataka batsman is one of the competent middle order batsmen for India in ODIs and T20Is since then. He was bagged by the franchise for a fat cheque of Rs.11 crore in the previous season but he could not make impressive performances that suits his caliber in that season. His average was around 28 and his strike rate was above 119 from 118 IPL matches. He had 2499 runs under his belt with 12 fifties and one century, with the highest score of 114. He is looking to regain his past glory with splendid performances in this season.

  1. Kane Williamson

He is the skipper for the team and is the highest run-getter for the team in the previous season. He bagged the Orange Cap in the previous season with 735 runs and 17 matches at an average above 52 and strike rate above 142. He is one of the best performers in the previous season and is a wonderful captain. His highest score in the previous season is 84. He slammed 1146 runs from 32 matches in IPL with an average of 42.44 and strike rate 137.44. He slammed 13 fifties in his IPL career.

  1. David Warner

He was the skipper for the team since many seasons and clinched the title in 2016. Due to the ball-tampering scandal, he was out of the team for the previous season.  He played for Carribean T20 league, Global T20 League Canada, and Bangladesh premier league but could not do justice for his potential. He amassed 4014 runs from 114 innings and has an impressive average of 40.55 and strike rate around 142.14 with highest score of 126. He slammed 36 fifties and three hundreds in his IPL career. His return into the team is an additional asset for the franchise.
