IPL 2019 Match 11 Preview: Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Sunrisers Hyderabad

Royal Challengers Bangalore will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad after two consecutive defeats against Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians, and they cannot risk another game now in the earlier phase of IPL. The crucial players for Royal Challengers Bangalore are Virat Kohli, AB De Villiers, and Yuzwendra Chahal. The team badly needs a man with X-factor to open their account of IPL points in this season.

Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Sunrisers Hyderabad

The loss against Mumbai Indians turned out to be more controversial and they lost the game by just 6 runs in the final over by a poor decision by the umpire according to some experts.

Sunrisers Hyderabad seems to be more balanced and consistent one when compared to Kohli’s army.

David Warner slammed two fifties from the two previous games and Jonny Bairstow also added some useful runs for the team. The return of Kane Williamson is the added asset for the batting line up of the Orange Army.  Since the team is equipped with consistent middle order batsmen like Manish Pandey, Vijay Shankar, and Yusuf Pathan, they are expected to score above 180 runs if they get a chance to bat first.

Against Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad succeeded to add 110 runs for the opening stand by contributions of David Warner and Jonny Bairstow. Sunrisers Hyderabad seems to be the favorites in this game with balanced batting and bowling departments.

Coming to the RCB team, Virat Kohli and AB De Villiers needs some support in the batting line up. Though the opening stand of Parthiv Patel and Virat Kohli added 60 runs before Power Play, the likes of Virat Kohli lacked support to stabilize the innings during the tough time. Shimron Hetmeyr might bat in the middle order and Colin de Grandhomme, Moeen Ali, and Parthiv Patel might bat at different places of the line up to add strength to the batting line up. If Royal Challengers Bangalore needs to bat first today, they might score above 170 runs.

Parthiv Patel and Moeen Ali might open the game. Parthiv Patel scored 29 runs in the first game against CSK and against Mumbai Indians, he made a decent score to lay a solid platform for the team’s stability.

Virat Kohli and Ab De Villiers are in fiery form and Shimron Hetmeyr adds more strength to the middle order. Virat Kohli slammed 46 runs against Mumbai Indians and De Villiers added 78 runs to guide the team towards the edge of the win.

Shivam Dube and Washington Sundar are probably called into the team as all-rounders to encounter David Warner with both the bat and the ball.

Yuzwendra Chahal, Tim Southee, Colin De Grandhomme, Mohammed Siraj, and Umesh Yadav are the crucial bowlers for the team. Tim Southee might lose his place to Washington Sundar in this match.
