IPL 2019: Is This The End of IPL Road For Shakib Al Hasan?

Shakib Al Hasan, the Bangladeshi skipper is one of the crucial all-rounders for Sunrisers Hyderabad for many seasons. He is not featured in a couple of games Sunrisers Hyderabad played since a couple of games. Players from Australia, namely, Jonny Bairstow and David Warner slammed centuries in the same innings. By their performances, the absence of Kane Williamson did not seem a point of worry for the team.

Jonny Bairstow and David Warner added 185 runs to the opening stand, the highest opening partnership in the history of IPL. David Warner struck once again after serving a ban period of one year. Jonny Bairstow did decent performances in all the three matches every time the team needed one. Apart from predictions, there is one player who might not play a match anymore for Sunrisers Hyderabad, Shakib Al Hasan.

He sustained a finger injury before the Asia cup and made a few mediocre performances in the previous seasons he played. According to IPL rules, no team should feature more than 4 overseas players for one game. Mohammed Nabi and Rashid Khan are included in the team to strengthen the bowling attack. Jonny Bairstow was not a part of the team due to ban period on David Warner during the previous season.

Undoubtedly, Rashid Khan will be given importance than Shakib Al Hasan since his bowling performance was outstanding though he cannot score much with the bat. Shakib Al Hasan’s potential cannot be underrated since he saved the team on many occasions. Rashid Khan helped the team out in many occasions since his entry and Kane Williamson might bat at No.4 after his return.

Mohammed Nabi made a remarkable performance against Royal Challengers Bangalore and hence no one can deny his importance in the team. Hence, there are chances of Shakib Al Hasan being faded out from the scenario of IPL in this season.
