3 All-rounders Spinners Who Can Replace Kedar Jadhav

Earlier, team India enjoyed the privilege of its top order filled with all-rounders like Sachin, Ganguly, Sehwag, and Yuvraj who can bowl well for a spell of ten overs. Now with Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Rohith Sharma, Shreyas Iyer as the top-order, India lacks that consistency when compared to previous times.

Kedar Jadhav is expected to fill the vacuum with his spin attack but he is not able to bowl more than 4-5 overs in an innings. When we have to look for alternates, we can consider the following players.

  1. Krunal Pandya

Krunal-PandyaPeople were not surprised when he was sold out under right-to-match for a remuneration of 8 crores for Mumbai Indians franchise. He made his debut in the IPL in 2016. This 26-year old local boy has the ability to replace Kedar Jadhav by his great fielding performance and classic style of spin action, slow left-arm orthodox.

He did great with the bat and ball in IPL 2017 and he did 47 runs against RPS in the final match and stood as the man of the match.

  1. Suresh Raina

Suresh-RainaAs Kedar Jadhav is out of form and cannot bowl for the complete spell of 10 overs, and scored 1,18,12,27 and 5* in his last five matches, the team is looking for an all-rounder who can do well with both the bat and the ball.

Though Raina had a disappointing spell during the Ranji trophy, he seems to be back on the track with 126 runs off 59 balls. He was selected as one of the 16-member team for T20I series against South Africa. Though he played well in his last T20 match against England and did 63 runs, he was out of the team due to fitness issues. As he cleared the YO-YO test, he is expected to return to the T20 squad for series against South Africa.

  1. Deepak Hooda

He was the captain of Baroda Ranji team. He was called with the nick-name Hurricane, for his ability to turn the results of the match at any time. This 22-year-old player does well with both the bat and the ball. He is the lower middle-order batsman at No.6 for Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise.

His bowling style is same as Kedar Jadhav, right arm-off-break. But this style does not coincide with that of Malinga. He is expected to improve his batting style and his strike rate is above 50. He is a ray of hope if the team looks for a spin-based all-rounder.
