Rajasthan Royals registered their maiden victory in the IPL 2019 by beating Royal Challengers Bangalore by 6 runs at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur in the 14th game of IPL yesterday. They succeeded to restrict Royal Challengers to 158/4 from 20 overs and succeeded to chase the target.
Jos Buttler and Ajinkya Rahane added 55 runs to the opening stand and Rahane was dismissed at the score of 22 runs off 20 balls by lbw by the delivery in the spell of Yuzwendra Chahal. Later, Steven Smith and Jos Buttler added 44 runs for the second wicket partnership. After the dismissal of Jos Buttler, Steven Smith added 56 runs along with Rahul Tripathi. After the RCB reached the 100-run mark, Parthiv Patel was dismissed. Marcus Stoinis and Moeen Ali added 32 runs for RCB. Marcus Stoinis added 31 runs and Moeen Ali slammed 18 runs.
Jos Buttler added outstanding performance by adding 20 off 13 balls. Steven Smith is the crucial contributor for Rajasthan Royals with his 38 runs. Parthiv Patel added 32 runs from 17 balls and took 29 balls to reach his half-century. He added sparkling 67 runs to stabilize the innings of RCB.
Shreyas Gopal, the Bangalorean playing for Rajasthan, picked off big guns like Virat Kohli and Ab De Villiers to collapse the top order of RCB. He later dismissed Shimron Hetmeyr. Krishnappa Gautam provided the best support as a bowler for Rajasthan Royals by conceding just 17 runs from 3 overs he bowled without picking a scalp.
