Though Mumbai Indians is one of the successful teams in the IPL since the inaugural season, it always stands in a wavery position due to a poor start and many other reasons. Mumbai Indians seem to be one of the strongest lineups and management but to bring balance to the team, the management often failed to retain crucial players they let go in the previous season. Here is the list of such few players.

  1. Dwayne Bravo

Dwayne Bravo is one of the crucial death over bowlers for Chennai Super Kings since many seasons. He is known as one of the men with X-factor who can win the game single-handedly. He was an integral part of the team since 2011. Mumbai Indians failed to retain him as a youngster and still paying for it whenever the team needed a powerful death over specialist. He succeeded to hand the title to CSK on many occasions with his deadly bowling skills. He will be a fiery weapon in the arsenal of Mumbai Indians which already consists of fiery bowlers like Jasprit Bumrah and Lasith Malinga. He is the highest wicket-taker for the team in the current season.

  1. Ambati Rayudu

He is one of the IPL heroes for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2018. He is one of the players with the skills to handle tough situations single-handedly. Formerly he is the part of Mumbai Indians. Though the team has a fiery batsman like Kieron Pollard and Pandya brothers in the middle order, they are not effective in handling pressures on many occasions. He is a fiery opener and can cruise the team in difficult situations as a middle-order batsman and as a finisher. Letting him go might seem the biggest mistake of Mumbai Indians according to some experts.

  1. Jos Buttler

This Englishman is one of the best wicket-keeper batsmen in the limited overs format cricket. He slammed the highest number of the fifties in the previous season as an opener and continues his quick fire in the current season for Rajasthan Royals. Undoubtedly, Rohit Sharma is one of the best openers for India and found a great partner like Quinton De Kock in this season. Buttler slammed 139 runs from four matches with the strike rate above 137. Currently, he is the tenth man in the list of Orange cap aspirants this year. Mumbai franchise regrets for not retaining him for sure.
