Though he was dismissed in the first ODI very early, he did consistent fifties in the second and third ODIs. He is expected to make a ton in the fourth ODI.

Middle Order

Virat Kohli

After consequent defeats in the two test matches against the Proteas, he did great in rebuilding the team by playing the captain Innings in the third test match and all the three ODIs with significant scores. If he succeeded in winning this series, he will be the man to register a memorable record of winning the first ever ODI series on South African soil against the hosts. With his 34th century in his ODI career, experts say that he will beat the records of Sachin’s 49 ODI centuries.

As he was out of the team for the test-series, he sweated hard by his 79 runs to strengthen his place in the team in the first one-dayer. He is expected to do well in the rest of the series.

Though he did not perform so well in this series with the bat, he is doing great in the field and supporting the bowlers and fielders well. He disappointed with his 10 runs in the third ODI but is expected to do great in the rest of the series.

Manish Pandey

Probably, Kedar Jadhav had to make the place to Pandey due to injury in the third ODI. Pandey is expected to improve his form and do well in the series to make his place steady in the team.

Jaspreet Bumrah

This 24-year old seamer gave a good start by giving one or two quick wickets in the beginning. He stood as great support to the spin duo in the previous three matches.
