Rare Moment-MS Dhoni Loses His Cool On-Field

MS Dhoni, known for his cool on the field, showed his anger on his partner Manish Pandey as he kept reluctantly watching the ball while Dhoni was looking for an extra run. This is the rarest of incidents that this cool head lost his temper on the field.angry-dhoniIn the last over of Indian Innings in the second T20I against South Africa in Centurion, Dhoni reportedly used some abusive words against Pandey. This former captain has told Pandey that:“Oye b******ke, idhar dekh le. Udhar kya dekh raha hai (Listen, look here. What are you looking there for?)”.

India won the first T20I against India with an ease and the hosts were at a do or die position yesterday. Though the Indian team lost their openers earlier, Suresh Raina and Manish Pandey made a good stand to make the innings stable. Earlier, the captain Duminy won the toss and the visitors were asked to bat first.

After the dismissal of Raina, Dhoni joined Manish Pandey at the time when India was at 90 runs for the loss of four wickets. This duo made a good stand to score a decent total of 188 runs for the loss of 4 wickets after 20 overs with their unbeaten fifties. Dhoni scored his fifty in the last over of the innings. But the attempts of this pair were futile due to the arrogant innings played by Klassen and Duminy to lead the host’s team towards a win by 6 wickets and 8 balls in hand.

At the beginning of 20th over, Manish hit the ball and it mistimed. He stood watching the ball and
Dhoni ran for a single. This former captain thought of another run but was infuriated by his partner’s indifference. He thought that they would finish better if Pandey could run for another single.

Apart from this issue, this calm wicket-keeper is often caught guiding the spin-twins Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav behind the stumps. The final T20I is scheduled to be held at Cape Town on 24th February. This is the last match for India on this tour.

This instance can be taken as an example that sometimes balanced persons will lose their cool due to extreme awareness and by the impact of consequences.
