India is looking for giving a happy ending to their eight-week-long tour to South Africa. They want to bounce back in the 3rd T20I against South Africa to be held on 24th February 2018.
The Indians had to face a shocking defeat in the second T20I at Centurion. The South Africans were able to level the three T20I series against the men in blue by their 6-wicket win in the second T20I in Centurion. They are looking to end the tour good by winning the three T20I series.
The Indians never played T20s in Newlands. The South Africans played eight T20S in Newlands and lost five of them. They did not do an impressive score there as well.
The South Africans won a match in World T20I and in a bilateral series against England in 2016 at Cape Town. The Cape Town T20 may not favor the visitors. The New Pink ODI and a rampaging win of the hosts in the second T20 are some of such instances. The hosts have shown that they are bouncing back and the captain announced that there will be no changes in the final eleven for the third T20I.
The hosts recorded a victory in the Wanderers stadium and are confident about winning the series while the visitors are sweating hard to bag another series victory. The South African skipper Duminy said that they have a good plan to encounter the visitors and all they need is to execute it properly. He added they have their own strategies against the spin twins and will make their way towards the series win.
Duminy added the same final eleven will be helpful for the series victory and the unchanged team will be helpful to preserve consistency in the game. Though Smuts and David Miller are down in their form, the selectors are backing them up expecting a good come back in the final match. Klasen expressed his eagerness to thrash Chahal with his shots once again and the Newlands pitch was made slower to encounter the Indian bowling attack.
Coming to the Indian side, Bumrah’s abdominal health issue is the question when comes the point of the third T20I. If he is given rest for this match, he may come back for the tri-series in Sri Lanka. He can be replaced by Jayadev Unadkat. Shardul Thakur will be considered for his place if the team wants to go for a change.
Yuzwendra Chahal is low due to his expensive overs in the second T20, but the team is expecting his enchanting performance once again. Chahal bowls more consistently than Kuldeep Yadav and it made the selectors omit Yadav for the first two T20Is. Axar Patel or Hardik Pandya will be the options for a third pacer if the selectors want to go with three pacers.
