India and South Africa are about to battle the final match today at Cape Town in the 3rd T20I. This is the series decider to be held at Newlands stadium. This is the place where the Indians encountered the hosts for the first test. Indians are happy with the tour so far as they won 7 matches off 11 they played. The Indians succeeded in winning their first ever bilateral title in South Africa under the leadership of Virat Kohli.
On the other hand, the South Africans are determined to register the win in the T20 series to compensate the defeat in ODI series and give a happy ending in spite of successive injury woes. They got a boost in the confidence levels by their victory by 6 wickets in the second T20I at Centurion.
- David Miller
David Miller did a poor show in the first two T20Is with single-digit scores and could not reach the expectations according to his fame. He is expected to do great and enter the crease in the middle order to show that he is back into the form in the decider match against men in blue.
- Heinrich Klassen
This South African wicketkeeper thrashed the Indian spinner Chahal and led his team cruise towards victory in the second T20I. He is in a good form and is expected to play arrogantly to encounter the opponent wrist-spinners.
- Rohit Sharma
Though this Indian opener is known for his attacking performance, he did not do well in this tour except in the fifth one-dayer against South Africa. He is being trolled on the social media for his golden duck in the 2nd T20I. He is expected to open the innings for the Indian side and give a good stand to the middle order batsmen in the final match of this tour.
- Yuzwendra Chahal
This wrist-spinner did a great performance throughout this tour but he registered a record of being very expensive with 64 runs from four overs in this series from the Indian side. He is expected to show his magnificent performance in the last T20I and support the team’s win in the final match of this 50-day long sojourn. Chahal stood as the second highest wicket-taker from the Indian side in this series, preceded by Jasprit Bumrah.
- Virat Kohli
Last but not the least, Kohli gave a splendid answer to the criticism about his performance and defeat in the test series throughout the rest of the series by scoring 558 runs in total and reaching the top place in the ICC rankings by scoring 900 rating points. He played the Captain Innings in the need of the hour and stood as the first Indian to make 2000 runs in the T20I format. This run machine is expected to show his arrogant style again in the decider match and bag the series by winning the third T20I in Newlands.
