He is the tenth highest scorers in IPL and holds the record of the sixth man with the highest number of IPL sixes. His highest score in the IPL was 133*.
2. Virat Kohli
Kohli was retained by the franchise just before the auctions. He was ranked the world’s best batsman a number of times. Kohli made the stand of 229 runs off 92 balls against Gujarat Lions, the highest partnership in IPL, along with De Villiers. This skipper leads the Indian team as well. He stood next to Hashim Amla as the fastest player to score 50 centuries in all formats. He was with RCB since the beginning. He scored 4418 runs from 149 IPL matches at an average of 37.44 at a strike rate of 129.82 and his highest score being 113. He scored 382 boundaries and 160 sixes. He is heading towards the maiden title victory with high levels of confidence.
3.Quinton de Kock
This South African keeper-batsman was sold out for Rs.2.8 crore for the current IPL edition. He played for Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi DareDevils earlier. He is a terrific batsman, the fastest to reach 1000 runs in ODIs from South Africa. He is the fastest batsman to reach 4th,5th, 10tH, and 12th centuries in ODIs. He scored 726 runs at an average of 29.04 at the strike rate of 132.24 and his highest score being 108. He has 7 catches and 3 stumpings in his account as a wicket-keeper.
This 18-year old batsman was bought by the franchise for Rs.3.2 crores. He played well for India in the current Nidahas trophy, his debut series on international grounds. He picked 8 wickets of 11 IPL matches for Pune SuperGiants in 2017. He played the tournament as a replacement for Ravichandran Ashwin in that tournament. His average was 23.12 at an economy rate of 6.16. He did a majestic performance during powerplays in the Nidahas tournament and bagged man of the series title.
This English all-rounder was bought by the RCB franchise for Rs.1.7 crores. He was a good spinner and the specialist game-finisher. He is an arrogant batsman. He was nominated for ‘Best at sport’ award at the British Muslim Awards in 2015. He is the debutant player for this IPL series.
